“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.”

— John Muir

We live on the earth
bisected by our nature
with sky above us
and we build.

Framing is arguably one of the most operable words in design and construction. It spans the realms of aspirational and technical, it is a verb and a noun, action and thing and a basic building block of our built environment while simultaneously a transformative mechanism for controlling and interpreting our view of the world.

Framing our deep connection to the natural world, to the forests and meadows, mountains and valleys, we seek a balance to the things we place on the earth and through architecture, a lens, to the way we view our place in the Ozarks.

Framing our place in the ‘flyover’ state of Arkansas in this way provides us with a unique aperture for straddling the man-made and the natural world(s). We thrive in between the conduit of information at global scales to the practical everyday application of ideas into craft in thinking, making, and doing.
